Lecturer position

Position No. 00050584. The Philosophy Department of Southern Methodist University seeks to fill a full-time Lecturer position beginning August 2018. One year contract, renewable. Eight courses per year (4/semester), all undergraduate. No research or service duties. Ph.D. in philosophy required. AOS: Ethics or Political Philosophy; AOC: Open, but philosophy of law and applied ethics are desirable. Ability to teach business ethics and ethics of technology a plus. Teaching is primarily lower division, but there is some possibility of upper division course teaching, such as Bioethics, Philosophy of Law, or Political Philosophy. Evidence of teaching excellence required.
