The Assistant Provost for Global Education and Engagement will have a major responsibility in providing overall strategic, operational and fiscal management of the International Education Center to ensure high-quality international activities and programs.  The position will also be responsible for developing and overseeing a variety of university-wide initiatives related to international programs and services, research, education and collaborations.  The position will develop international programming and improve campus support for international students, as well as define and implement strategies for attracting and engaging new populations of international students.

The ideal candidate will possess an advanced degree from an accredited institution and significant experience in international programs and student services; considerable experience living, working or studying abroad; knowledge of policies and regulations related to international programs and services; experience designing, leading and/or assessing international education experiences; a strong track record for building partnerships that foster an appreciation for international students, programs and services; excellent management skills including stewardship of fiscal and human resources and excellent communication and organizational skills. Vast experience and demonstrated success in the recruitment and retention of international students, as well as the knowledge and skills to educate students, faculty, and staff about global competencies and expand interdisciplinary partnerships across academic programs, are critically important for this position and will be focal areas for the selected leader.
