Assistant Professor

The University of Nevada, Reno, School of Public Health is seeking candidates for one nine-month, tenured track position in Environmental Health at the rank of Assistant Professor with preferred start date of 7/1/2023.

The successful candidate is expected to engage in both independent and collaborative research projects, teach successfully in the graduate and undergraduate programs, and participate in university and professional service. All research areas in environmental health will be considered. However, applicants with expertise relevant to occupational health, occupational safety and/or industrial hygiene are preferred, such as workplace safety, exposure assessment, and characterizing risks associated with workplace stressors ranging from the chemical and physical (e.g., workplace safety, ergonomics) to social (e.g., psychosocial stress). Applicants with interests in community- and stakeholder-engaged research that could potentially inform policy-making are especially encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have earned a PhD degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a closely related area by the time of appointment.
