Texas A&M University (TAMU), one of the nation’s leading research-one institutions and number one public institution in the nation for sending students abroad, invites nominations and applications for the position of Executive Director of the Study Abroad Programs Office.   TAMU seeks a leader who is innovative, strategic, and has the leadership abilities and vision to take the Study Abroad Programs Office to higher levels both nationally and globally.

The Executive Director will report to the Associate Provost for Undergraduate Studies.  The Executive Director will be a leader experienced in strategic planning, cultivating partnerships, and personnel management, and possess a strong background in international education.  An outstanding record of achievement in advancing standards of excellence is essential for the successful candidate. 

The top priority for this position is the development and implementation of a strategic plan that will define and improve the quality of study abroad programs, prioritize areas of growth and expansion, create an institutional risk management strategy, use technology to facilitate and streamline processes, and provide study abroad advising that integrates career goals, educational choices, and guidance with respect to program choice.
