Lecturer, First-Year Student Success - Academic Transition Programs #603684

Full-time, benefit-eligible Lecturer position teaching full-time in Academic Transition Programs at Northern Arizona University. Academic Transition Programs is looking for one or more dedicated faculty to teach and facilitate first-year student success courses beginning the 2018-2019 academic year. In addition to teaching, this faculty line will also work in more intensive student success settings. Additionally, all Lecturer positions will carry service responsibilities to the university and/or academic unit equating to 20% of the contracted load. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree • At least five years of teaching experience at the college or secondary level • Complete hiring packet. Demonstrated excellence in teaching • Three or more years of secondary or community college teaching experience • Master’s in Education, Educational Psychology, Psychology, or Student Affairs • Understanding of best practices relevant to first-year students (e.g., On Course training, initiatives of the National Resource Center on the First-Year Experience).

 

Annual Salary: $43,000 per academic year for full-time position.
