Job Description

As a member of the Wharton Marketing and Communications team, and reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing Strategy and Operations, responsible for the successful marketing and support of content and reputational programming offerings at Wharton, with a primary focus on supporting the University of Pennsylvania's largest website "Knowledge at Wharton", which is maintained by the Wharton Marketing and Communications team. Oversee inbound marketing, SEO, analytics, and email technologies for assigned programs, as well as formatting and distributing the Knowledge at Wharton newsletter and related content vehicles.

Through the utilization of Wharton's GA360/Pardot/Salesforce stack, interpret and visualize data to provide insights and executive-level dashboards across a variety of KPIs. Understand and optimizing web traffic; determine Knowledge at Wharton and other web vehicles can be utilized to drive and track web traffic to expand the revenue and reputation of the Wharton School.

Responsible for growing engagement across programs using inbound strategies and campaigns that drive site traffic through SEO, email marketing, landing pages, and other techniques. Optimize email marketing for Knowledge at Wharton and work closely with the Marketing and Communications team, particularly the content production, social media, and marketing technology groups. Coordinate assets, deliver emails, enhance social engagement, and ensure that best practices are being followed in order to adequately track results after implementation.

Responsible for developing and maintaining an ongoing understanding of the Knowledge at Wharton goals, objectives, pain points, intricacies, target audiences, seasonal trends, and business processes; communicate and/or educate the Marketing and Communications team as appropriate.

Develop a strong working relationship with the Sr. Editorial Director, Knowledge at Wharton, Marketing and Communications team members, and business partners across the school and university. Serve as a knowledgeable and reliable strategic partner who provides vital and valued expertise in support of program

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years experience in a related field.

Digital Marketing
  • Ability to build automated campaigns, create email segments, A/B testing, lead identification, etc.
  • Ability to recommend marketing investments
  • Ability to plan and direct marketing campaigns as they relate to driving KatW traffic
  • Knowledge of content marketing best practices
  • Understand and be able to recommend SEO enhancements to content editors.
  • Work with various content formats such as blogs, videos, audio podcasts, etc.
  • Develop device experiments and conversion tests


Marketing Automation/CRM
  • Experience with marketing automation tools such as Pardot(preferred), Hubspot, Marketo, etc.
  • Ability to build automated campaigns, create email segments, A/B testing, lead identification, etc.
  • Ability to identify KPIs and other metric-based evaluative measures appropriate to a given initiative.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM concepts and experience working with Salesforce (preferred), MS Dynamics, SugarCRM, etc.

Analytics
  • Comfortable using Google Analytics to read data and familiarity with strategies and tactics necessary to identify, collect, and analyze meaningful data for a given project.
  • Familiarity with dashboard-creation tools, such as Google Data Studio (preferred), tableau, PowerBI, etc.
  • Ability to discern insights from analytics tools and present them to an executive audience in a way that distills the most important insights, along with potential actions that can be taken based on those insights.
  • Ability to identify KPIs and other metric-based evaluative measures appropriate to a given initiative.


Web/Email
  • Experience working in a WordPress environment, with the ability to use WordPress CMS to create new pages, recommend new modules, and Q/A new pages.
  • Experience with website management and monetization strategies.
  • Experience with email marketing and email creation via platforms and HTML.


Soft Skills
  • Ability to work across diverse groups, including senior administrators and senior leadership
