The Family and Community Health (FCH) Department in the School of Nursing seeks candidates for a tenure-track Associate or Full Professor position who would serve as Faculty Director of the Leonard A. Lauder Community Care Nurse Practitioner Program (Program). The Program will recruit and prepare a diverse cadre of expert nurse practitioners to provide primary care to individuals and families in underserved communities across the U.S The Director will provide the intellectual and practice direction of the Program including the design of tailored curricular and programmatic enhancements for Lauder Fellows, engagement with community sites and preceptors, preparation of primary care nurse practitioner students to work in underserved areas, continued alumni engagement, and program evaluation. In collaboration with the Director of the Primary Care Program Director and others, will develop criteria and participate in the selection of Fellows and Community Sites. In addition to oversight of the Program, the Director will be responsible for raising public awareness of the program and the dissemination of Program processes and outcomes in public and professional venues. The Director of the Program will be named as the Leonard A. Lauder Community Care Nurse Practitioner Professor, an endowed chair, while serving as director.

Applicants must have content and practice expertise in primary care and/or population health with underserved communities. The applicant's scholarship should align with the School of Nursing's overarching priorities, expertise in promoting the health of diverse populations, in managing complex care needs, in precision science, data science, and implementation science, and have demonstrated impact that contributes to the health of individuals, families, and communities.

Interested parties must have experience in academic program leadership, curriculum development/evaluation, academic teaching using multiple modalities (didactic, online) and working with an interprofessional colleagues. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assimilate numerous sources of complex information is required. Excellent communication (writing and oral) skills are essential. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills needed. PhD is required; APRN preferred.
