The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of dermatopathology is required. Experience in frozen section coverage and an additional surgical pathology subspecialty is desirable. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Board Certification/Eligibility in Dermatopathology and Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic/Clinical Pathology and an unrestricted medical license/eligibility in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required.

Teaching responsibilities may include training medical students, residents, and fellows in Perelman School of Medicine and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Clinical responsibilities may include clinical service in the surgical pathology section with emphasis on dermatopathology as well coverage of frozen sections, night and weekend call and occasional autopsy coverage. Additionally, the ability for coverage in another surgical pathology subspecialty is desired.
