Director of Admissions

New Brunswick Theological Seminary (NBTS) is seeking a collaborative and experienced admissions professional to bring their proven record of accomplishment to the Director of Admissions position at NBTS. The Director of Admissions is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of new students to NBTS. This position uses a market- and data-driven approach to create a comprehensive annual recruitment plan to recruit and enroll domestic and international graduate students that leads to the attainment of the seminary’s enrollment goals. Reporting to the Vice President of Advancement and Recruitment, this position acts as the primary recruiter for NBTS: developing multiple methodologies to bring students to NBTS, providing admissions information to prospective students, leading information sessions, collaborating in creating recruitment materials, and representing the Seminary at virtual and in-person conferences.

The Director builds upon and manages existing community and church partnerships with the goal of expanding the reach of NBTS’s recruitment. The Director executes a strategy to target and continually refine recruitment efforts, cultivate existing community partnerships, establishes new partnerships to diversify the recruitment pool, ensures a robust recruitment pipeline, and fosters NBTS’s recognition in the community.

The Director must demonstrate an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with faculty, students, alumni, staff, and administrators. The Director must be mission-driven and committed to working at a seminary with diverse students. Familiarity with Christian ministry is required. Work schedule includes days, evenings, and some weekends, particularly during peak recruiting periods. The position is currently remote due to the pandemic but will shift to face-to-face/in-person when safe. Frequent local travel and occasional out-of-state travel, valid driver’s license, and access to a vehicle are required.

NBTS is committed to increasing diversity in its faculty, staff, and student populations, as well as curriculum and support programs, while promoting an inclusive environment. NBTS is an equal opportunity employer. A full job description can be found at https://www.nbts.edu/employ-opps/director-of-admissions/. To apply, please send your resume and cover letter to
