Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of General Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates must be board certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, with a Certificate of Additional Qualification in Sports Medicine, as well as board certified in Brain Injury Medicine by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows and will have experience teaching faculty at the continuing medical education level, with a national and international reputation.

Clinical responsibilities may include providing outpatient sports medicine care for concussion and sports musculoskeletal injuries as well as academic pediatric primary care.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include clinical and translational research in sports-related and non-sports-related concussion, with a successful record of research accomplishments, publications, and federal funding. The successful candidate will have experience leading both a clinical and a translational research team. Evidence of scholarship is required for the Clinician-Educator track.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of excellence in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
