SCAD Savannah seeks a part-time professor of UX design to join its dedicated, award-winning faculty to prepare students for rapidly evolving design careers.
User experience designers create using the principles and tools of a progressive platform of programs within the SCAD School of Design, encourage the development of a strong interdisciplinary design community across SCAD locations, and collaborate with related academic disciplines, including interaction design, industrial design, design management, and design for sustainability.
The successful candidate has a demonstrated knack for inspiring and teaching at the college level, as well as the ability to motivate students and faculty to think creatively and critically. The candidate should be experienced working with students and faculty of diverse backgrounds and possesses a thorough understanding of user experience design methodology and theories. Strong graphic and idea visualization skills, a background in contextual research, experience prototyping, and the ability to create compelling user interfaces that generate engaging interactive experiences with the user are also vital.
