Professor of Anthropology

SCAD Savannah seeks a full-time professor of anthropology to contribute to the development of SCAD students as critical thinkers. 

General education is an essential component of the SCAD undergraduate experience. Each student is nurtured and motivated by faculty with extraordinary academic credentials and valuable professional experiences that emphasize learning through individual attention in an inspiring university environment. SCAD’s innovative curriculum is enhanced by advanced, professional-level technology, equipment, and learning resources, and has garnered acclaim from respected organizations and publications, including 3D World, American Institute of Architects, Businessweek, DesignIntelligence, U.S. News & World Report, and The Los Angeles Times. As a professor, you will provide an intellectual foundation that prepares students for success across creative professions.

The successful candidate demonstrates exemplary interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to engage a diverse student body. Proven success teaching at the college level is strongly preferred.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in cultural anthropology
• Demonstrated excellence in college-level teaching strongly preferred
• Academic and professional credentials to teach anthropology
