SCAD Savannah seeks a full-time professor of foundation studies to become an essential part of the department by assisting with the development of curriculum, assessments, and exhibitions. You will also collaborate across various departments in support of university initiatives.

 

Known as the University for Creative Careers, SCAD has cultivated an energetic, collaborative environment where experienced faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds dedicate themselves to the development of the next generation of leaders in art and design.

 

The undergraduate experience at SCAD is anchored in foundation studies — a thoughtfully curated series of courses that build the visual, conceptual, and creative abilities essential to students’ development as professionals. The skills learned in foundation studies help propel SCAD students into a wide array of major-specific disciplines.

Requirements

  • Terminal degree in art or design discipline
  • University-level teaching experience and a strong portfolio of professional work
  • Ability to teach drawing and design classes in an active, engaging learning environment
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred
