Associate Dean and COO

 

The University of Denver seeks applications and nominations for the Associate Dean and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Daniels College of Business.  This newly created and vitally important role is critical to the continued success of Daniels in an evolving and competitive management education marketplace. 

 

As deputy to the dean, the COO will provide management expertise and support to the College and its internal stakeholders that will enable the promotion of the dean’s resource-development, community building and strategic engagement.   Central to this role will be providing integrative, coordinated processes to critical non-academic functions while working hand-in-hand with the dean and others on strategies to ensure the health of Daniels’ business operations.  The COO is a dynamic and innovative leader who understands the challenges and opportunities in managing a business school that offers top quality business education rooted in ethical leadership, advancing the theory and practice of business and making positive global impact.  While candidates may come from diverse backgrounds, prior management experience is required, preferably within higher education or other scholarly environment.  Administrative experience in higher education and/or a track record of academic leadership preferred.  Advanced degree is required.
