Assistant Vice Provost, Financial Services (Chief Academic Budget Officer)

California State University Channel Islands seeks applications and nominations for the position of Assistant Vice Provost, Academic Financial Services. The new AVP will be a strategically minded communicator who can partner with the Provost as the Chief Budget Officer for the Division of Academic Affairs at a vibrant, rapidly growing university.

 

Founded in 2002 and located midway between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles and 10 minutes from the Pacific Ocean, CSUCI is the newest campus of the California State University, the largest system of public higher education in the United States. The campus currently serves over 7,000 students. At its full-capacity the campus will serve more than 15,000 students (www.csuci.edu). CSUCI offers 25 undergraduate majors, ten graduate degrees, a joint doctorate in educational leadership, and a variety of certificate and teaching credential programs.

The AVP, Academic Financial Services is responsible for the strategic management and administrative functions related to the Division of Academic Affairs budget development, administration, and division financial operations. The AVP ensures that these functions align with state, CSU, CI, and other compliance regulations to ensure proper, adequate, effective, and efficient management and leadership regarding the division’s budget and other academic resources, as well as developing and maintaining long-range budgetary financial models and internal controls for the division.
