The Board of Trustees of Texas Christian University invite applications and nominations for the newly created position of University President. 

About TCU
Texas Christian University (TCU) is a Top 100 National University as classified by U.S. News and World Report. Located in Fort Worth, Texas, one of the largest and most dynamic cities in the country, TCU has an endowment of over $2.4 Billion and is home to an accomplished student body of nearly 12,000 students from around the nation and the globe. As a liberal arts University, TCU encompasses nine colleges and schools which includes a medical school. The more than 10,200 undergraduate and 1,700 graduate students work closely with a full-time faculty of  699 committed teacher-scholars. The new President joins the University during a period of strong undergraduate growth and at the initiation of an enhanced strategic plan – optimally positioned for creativity, innovation, and aspirational thinking. 

About the President
Reporting to the Chancellor of TCU and operating within policies established by the TCU Board of Trustees, the President is responsible for overall operations supporting and enhancing the University’s academic mission. The President has primary responsibility for providing executive leadership that advances the mission, vision, and values of TCU. The President shall have the necessary authority and be held responsible for the administration of the University in all of its activities and departments. The selected candidate should be an inclusive, engaged, visionary leader, responsible for building productive and collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, administrators, students and the local community. The candidate will be an accomplished scholar who possesses an earned terminal degee and credentials warranting tenure and the rank of professor in one of the University’s academic units. The President will also have an established record of innovative success in academic administration and exemplary interpersonal and communication skills. The President must have a demonstrated commitment and passion for creating a diverse and inclusive campus environment and an appreciation of the multiple missions of a major university.
