The Division of Dance invites nominations and applications for the position of associate/full professor and chair. This position is an opportunity to be involved in the on-going shaping of innovative, dynamic curriculum and performance practice. Strong leadership skills, creative energy, intellectual strength and professional and teaching experience are essential.  We welcome candidates from all backgrounds. The candidate selected will be expected to be a significant partner in connecting the Division to an increasingly diverse and globally-connected community at the university and in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Extraordinary candidates at the associate/full professor levels will be considered.

Minimum qualifications: Terminal degree or significant professional accomplishment in the field; minimum 3 years of administrative experience; expertise to teach courses in one or more areas of the Dance curriculum; and demonstrated creative/scholarly achievement.

Preferred qualifications: Experience that includes: a strong record of administrative leadership at the level of chair or higher; curriculum development; performance and production management; integrating engaged pedagogies and new technologies into curriculum; strategic planning; recruitment; and fund raising.  

Position begins July 1, 2018.
