Dean, Jefferson College of Nursing

Jefferson College of Nursing (JCN), recognized for educating exceptional nurses, founded in 1891 and now more than 125 years later offers a continuum of fully-accredited nursing degree programs, from Baccalaureate through Doctoral levels.  Its distinguished educational programs combine research and technology with a dedication to compassionate and interdisciplinary care. JCN is also one of six colleges dedicated to health sciences education and research within Thomas Jefferson University (TJU). 

The Dean will oversee Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degree programs at the main campus and will also lead all nursing degree programs at Jefferson’s Aria and Abington campuses. S/he will be a leader who fosters a culture of transparency, support, and excellence is highly desirable. The specific qualifications we are seeking include the following:

• Doctorate in Nursing or related discipline from an accredited institution. Master’s degree preparation in nursing.

• License to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

• Minimum of five years of academic leadership experience at a professional rank in a college or university setting or equivalent experience.
