Description:

Under the general direction of the Chancellor, the Vice Chancellor, Educational Services and Institutional Effectiveness serves as the District's chief academic, student services and institutional research officer supporting the district's instructional, student support and student success research initiatives, recommending steps forward to the Chancellor.

The Vice Chancellor provides overall leadership and integrated strategic planning including coordination and evaluation of district-wide academic and student services programs, and development and implementation of policies and procedures pertaining to such services in order to promote innovative and effective student learning and development. The Vice Chancellor works collaboratively with the campus presidents, vice presidents, and appropriate staff to support instruction and student services at the district and the colleges.

The successful candidate will start no later than the beginning of the spring 2018 semester but may begin sooner if available.

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A) Master's degree from a recognized accredited college or university, AND three years of full-time senior administrative experience overseeing instructional and/or student services programs in a community college and/or other accredited, post-secondary educational institution
OR
B) California Community College Credential authorizing administrative service

Qualified applicants must also demonstrate a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identify, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

SALARY RANGE:
$189,299 - $222,111

SELECTION PROCESS:

A screening committee will review and screen all applications and associated materials. Those candidates deemed by the committee to be most qualified for the position will be invited to an interview.
