The Instructor NT is a non-tenure track position with responsibilities to teach full-time and to provide appropriate service. The Instructor NT may participate in research or creative activities.

Description of Primary Duties

The successful candidate(s) will be expected to engage in high-quality teaching in one or more of the following areas is highly desired—Information Systems, Database, Cybersecurity, Programming/Software Development, Web Application Development, Mobile Application Development, Networking/IT Infrastructure, Cloud Computing, or Enterprise IT Architecture.

Teaching may include graduate and undergraduate courses, in both online and face-to-face settings.

Duties will also include engagement with the Department’s student organization and facilitating a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

An earned terminal degree or the degree required for teaching in certain disciplines is required. Potential or demonstrated teaching ability is required. A willingness to serve the academic unit, college, and the University is required. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.

Additional Qualifications

An earned Master’s degree from an AACSB or ABET accredited institution in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or a closely related field at the time of appointment.

Evidence of the potential for high quality teaching in one or more of the following areas is highly desired—Information Systems, Database, Cybersecurity, Programming/Software Development, Web Application Development, Mobile Application Development, Networking/IT Infrastructure, Cloud Computing, or Enterprise IT Architecture.
