Vice President for Enrollment Management

VICE PRESIDENT FOR ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT SEARCH

The College of St. Scholastica (CSS), a vibrant, multi-campus institution in the Catholic Benedictine tradition with its main campus in Duluth, Minnesota, seeks a visionary, an inspiring and transformational leader to serve as its next Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM).  The College has experienced growth and expansion over the past several years and seeks a Vice President who will lead the development of the overall enrollment management strategy to ensure strategic enrollment growth and enrollment stability while ensuring alignment with the College’s mission, vision, strategic plan and inclusive excellence goals.

Founded in 1912 under the sponsorship of the Benedictine Sisters, the College’s mission is to provide intellectual and moral preparation for responsible living and meaningful work within the context of Catholic Benedictine values--- community, hospitality, respect, stewardship, and love of learning. The Sisters have created a close-knit and outstanding community of learners on and off the Duluth campus.

Programs are offered to more than 4,400 undergraduate and graduate students. As a result of the College’s recent period of rapid growth and expansion, it currently operates nine satellite campuses in addition to the main campus in Duluth. Graduate, Extended and Online (GEO) programs include traditional graduate programs which are offered on the main campus, accelerated programs offered at the extended sites, as well as online programs. The VPEM is responsible for the management and oversight of all student enrollment, including the GEO programs.

Reporting to the President and serving as a member of the Cabinet, the VPEM is responsible for providing strategic vision and leadership to the offices of Financial Aid, Admissions, and Athletics. The VPEM collaborates with the Vice Presidents of Student Affairs and Academic Affairs to improve student retention and manage overall enrollment. Of significant importance, the VPEM will understand and support CSS’s long-standing commitment to Inclusive Excellence in student and employee recruitment, employee hiring, and developing students and employees to enhance their knowledge and skills related to diversity, equity and inclusion, and cultural fluency.

The new VPEM is expected to assume office early-to-mid-July.
