CHAIR, CHEMICAL ENGINEERING

Applications and nominations are invited for the position of Chair of the Chemical Engineering Department in the Manhattan College School of Engineering. The College seeks an energetic academic leader capable of formulating and building consensus while assuming a visionary role. Prior administrative or relevant experience is required and evidence of industrial and/or corporate experience will enhance the application.


Candidates must have an earned doctorate in chemical engineering or a closely related discipline. The individual should have a commitment to excellence in teaching and engineering education as well as a record of scholarship/published research. Excellent communication and administrative skills are essential for the position. The successful candidate should be eligible for appointment at the rank of full professor. It is expected that the new chair will join the Department in the Fall Semester 2017.

 

The School of Engineering is located in the City of New York with a rich diversity of cultural activities. The Chemical Engineering Department includes six full-time faculty members, 154 full-time undergraduate students and 30 master's degree students. The Chemical Engineering undergraduate program is accredited by the EAC of ABET.
