Marketing: Department Chair & Associate or Full Professor

The department chair leads a group of over forty dynamic, engaged, and innovative researchers and teachers. In that capacity, the department chair steers the strategic initiatives of the department including promoting and rewarding outstanding teaching and research, fostering relationships with campus colleagues and industry partners, and supporting the development of innovative curriculum and revenue-generating programs. Additionally, the department chair is responsible for managing the operation of the department, including faculty and staff development, budgeting, staffing, and course scheduling. The department chair will serve as a member of the School’s Executive Committee and will report to the Senior Associate Dean of the School. Require: Doctorate in Marketing or closely related discipline applicable to teaching and scholarly research in the marketing area. For appointment to the rank of associate professor, a candidate must demonstrate high-quality teaching, high-quality research/scholarly achievement through publications, the prospective continuation of both high-quality teaching and high-quality research/scholarly achievement, and productive professional service. To be appointed to the rank of full professor, a candidate must demonstrate a cumulative record of high-quality teaching, a cumulative record of research/scholarly achievement which has resulted in an established reputation within the discipline, productive professional service, and professional collegiality within a department, division, university.
