Job Description Summary
The Bridges to Wealth Coordinator of Programs and Operations manages programming; oversees internal operations and communications across partner schools, community partners, and the University; coordinates and supervises Penn Work Study student employees, high school interns, and classroom support teams; coordinates daily programming, and community events; and coordinates and collaborates with the director and other leadership members on development, presentations, research, and reporting.

DUTIES:
Program Coordination

The Program Coordinator organizes, convenes, and oversees in-person, virtual, and hybrid programs in the Philadelphia School District. This includes organizing and supervising Penn mentorship teams and PSD student leadership, coordinating with PSD partners, and organizing and hosting regular extracurricular events and programs.

Partnerships and Communications

The Program Coordinator manages B2W communication activities for various partnerships. This includes liaising between public school partners, community centers, and university partnerships. This position is also responsible for maintenance of the program's website, organizing and promoting community events, and managing various program list-serv communications, newsletters, and updates.

Supervision and Administration

The position is responsible for employee relations, hiring, and background clearances for over 25 Work Study positions, as well as various high school and undergraduate interns. The position recruits and orients Work Study and internship students for mentorship roles. This includes hosting regular check-ins and trainings, and conflict resolution and mediation. The position oversees internal administrative operations and communications across the B2W team, including weekly Leadership and Adult Program team meetings, as well as staff meetings and functions for employees and sending regular team announcements and updates. The role also includes purchasing and reimbursements, general office management and organization, and supports technological and facilities issues.

Development

This position will support the Director in development as needed, including supporting grant applications, reporting, and publication as needed.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree and 1 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required for this position. Master's Degree is strongly preferred. This experience is necessary to help advise on the development and implementation of current programming, supervise staff and students, and build beneficial working relationships with Community and PSD partners. Experience working within public school districts and/or as a service provider. Experience organizing and implementing curriculum. Experience working with youth, particularly at-risk youth. Experience in research and program evaluation. Understanding of pedagogical best practices, such as service-learning, problem-based learning, and peer-assisted education. Ability to work with a wide range of people and communities.

A team player with excellent writing, organizational and computer skills who is able to work a flexible schedule and has a deep interest in university-community partnerships.
