The Assistant Vice Provost for Undergraduate Admissions reports to the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Enrollment and oversees the entire undergraduate admissions operation including recruitment, admission, merit scholarship awards, and conversion of undergraduate students. The position develops and implements freshman, transfer, and international student recruitment plans; analyzes admissions data and trends; forecasts changes in enrollment; and develops effective enrollment models and operational strategies. The Assistant Vice Provost serves as a member of the Office of Enrollment’s senior staff which, through their shared expertise, is responsible for the formulation and execution of those activities leading to the achievement of the University’s strategic enrollment goals as they relate to undergraduate students. These activities include the development of all marketing, recruitment, admission, conversion, and enrollment strategies including financial aid packaging for all entering students. The Assistant Vice Provost collaborates across the institution, serves on campus-wide committees and working groups, and represents AU to a wide range of external constituencies. The position oversees a staff of twenty-five and directly supervises four associate directors, an international admissions director, and an international admissions counselor.

Minimum requirements include a master’s degree or equivalent in training or experience; eight years of progressive experience in higher education admissions or an enrollment-related position; demonstrated ability to manage in a multi-tasking, diverse, and rapidly changing environment; excellent oral and written communication skills; and successful supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will be a highly collaborative, team-oriented, and results-driven admissions professional who has experience with predictive modeling and data analysis and a record of recruiting academically talented students from all backgrounds and identities.
