Provost

Mary Baldwin University (MBU) is conducting a nationwide search for its next Provost. The Provost serves as the academic leader of the University and reports to the President of MBU.

MBU is a deliberately small, private, coeducational university enrolling 1,761 undergraduate and graduate students with a full-time faculty of 89 and regional centers throughout the Commonwealth. Located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, the main campus sits on 58 hilltop acres in downtown Staunton, Virginia.

Reporting to the President, the Provost is the chief academic and student affairs officer of the University. Working collaboratively with the Vice President of the Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences, the Associate Provost for Academic and Student Affairs, the Deans of the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business and Professional Studies, and Education, and with the Director of the Shakespeare and Performance Program, the Provost ensures the quality and integrity of Mary Baldwin University's undergraduate and graduate programs and of the academic services that support those programs.

Inquiries, nominations, and applications are invited.  Nominations and expressions of interest, including a curriculum vitae and cover letter, should be submitted confidentially via email to MBUProvost@wittkieffer.com. Inquiries may be addressed to Greg Santore and Oliver Tomlin, the Witt/Kieffer consultants supporting this search, at 630-990-1370.  To view the full leadership profile, please visit www.wittkieffer.com.
