Assistant Teaching Professor, Cybersecurity/ITM

The Department of Information and Technology Management (ITM) at The University of Tampa invites applicants for an annual renewable term position as Assistant Teaching Professor in cybersecurity/information and technology management to start in the fall 2022 semester.  

The ITM department offers undergraduate degree programs in management information systems, business information technology, financial enterprise systems, and cybersecurity. This is in addition to a master’s degree in cybersecurity, business analytics, and information and technology management. The department will be moving to the newly constructed technology building in the fall 2022 that has three dedicated state of the art cybersecurity labs and equipment in addition to Service Operations Center (SOC). The Sykes College of Business is accredited by AACSB and the MIS program is accredited by ABET. The department is planning to achieve ABET and DHS/NSA accreditation for the Cybersecurity programs.

Responsibilities include teaching three four-credit hour courses at undergraduate level during each semester in the cybersecurity/IS area such as principles of cybersecurity, ethical hacking, information security standards, and introduction to management information systems. 

The candidate must have a master’s or a PhD degree from an AACSB/ABET accredited program, or equivalent, in cybersecurity, management information systems or related fields. Having industry certificates such as Security+, CISSP, and ECH will be a plus.
