The ideal candidate bridges theory and practice and has preferably worked in a senior industry role, or as a consultant to industry, applying insights and analysis to the management of marketing and/or public relations functions. Candidates should have experience working with a diverse base of professionals and/or teaching a diverse population of students.

All faculty members are expected to be active contributors to meeting the applied professional goals of the division and part of the continuing investments in research and pedagogy and corporate collaboration.

Reporting to the Associate Dean of the Division of Programs in Business, the faculty member will work closely with the Academic Director of Integrated Marketing and Communications to develop and deliver impactful and engaging course work and co-curricular programs; to advance thought leadership through applied industry research; to build industry relationships and partnerships; to support in the growth and development of our adjunct faculty base; and to contribute collaboratively to the advancement of NYU, the school, and the division’s mission and strategy. Along with direct teaching responsibilities, candidates will be expected to act as an advocate for the program, assisting at orientation and information events, serving on committees, advising students, and building relationships and programs within NYU SPS and with other NYU schools. The position is a nine-month, non-tenured, two-year renewable faculty appointment.

Qualifications:
A PhD, or equivalent degree, in Marketing or a related discipline is preferred, with a minimum degree of MBA, M.S. or other related Masters program, plus 8-10 years working experience. The ideal candidate will be able to lead in the creation of intellectual capital around topic areas directly relevant to marketing practitioners, which they can apply through classroom teaching, publication in business or academic journals, industry conferences and partnerships etc.

Experience and research in the areas of Digital Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Marketing Technology, Advertising Technology, or Communications Technology would be very desirable, as would be experience in curriculum, course, and program development.
