The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Neuroimmunology with a goal to promote innovation in clinical care for neuroinflammatory conditions of the central nervous system. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. The successful candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents, and Neuroimmunology fellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include care of patients with Neuroimmunological disorders and participation in a large, multi-disciplinary MS center. Outpatient responsibilities include 7 half-day clinical sessions, principally at HUP with the possibility of also holding clinics at our satellite clinic in New Jersey and helping with infusion medications in New Jersey. Clinical responsibilities may also include neurology inpatient service time in line with the standard clinical department requirements.

A goal of this position is to demonstrate clinical excellence on a local and national scale, and to participate with other member of the team and Penn Medicine Community in scholarly activities within the field of MS and Related Disorders. Research funding is NOT required for this position. Successful candidates will have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care and education.
