POSITION DESCRIPTION

The University of California, Berkeley, invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of French, with expertise in medieval literature, language, and culture. We seek a scholar with deep training, familiarity with recent developments in the field, and a capacious vision of the role of medieval studies in our department and beyond. Ability to conduct courses in French is required. Candidates should be able to teach at all levels, from graduate seminars to undergraduate survey courses. Evidence of the ability to conduct top-quality research is essential.
