Assistant or Associate Professor of Management

School of Business

The School of Business at The College of New Jersey invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Management with an emphasis in Human Resources Management beginning academic year 2022-2023. An earned doctorate is required for appointment (ABD candidates may be considered only on the condition of full doctoral completion by August 2022). A doctorate in Management or a related discipline from an AACSB accredited business school is preferred.

The successful candidate will demonstrate (1) the ability to provide instructional excellence in courses in areas of specialization; (2) a planned scholarly agenda consistent with expectations of an AACSB-accredited program; and (3) a commitment to undergraduate education and active participation in the development of innovative and/or interdisciplinary courses. A primary teaching responsibility will be in Human Resources Management, and Leadership is an emerging area of focus in our curricula. TCNJ has high expectations for faculty to foster active, engaged classrooms, and thus evidence of highly effective teaching is especially important in addition to having an active research agenda. In accordance to TCNJ’s teacher-scholar model, faculty are also expected to be engaged in student advisement.

The Management department supports undergraduate management concentrations in Management, Human Resources Management, and Supply Chain Management, as well as minors in Management and Human Resource Management. The department also supports the Strategy, Innovation and Leadership track of the MBA program. Teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels is expected.
