Reporting to the Director of Student Financial Systems, the Business Analyst-Student Financials is responsible for supporting the functional information technology and reporting needs of the Office of Student Accounts across multiple systems, including but not limited to PAWS, JSA, Blackboard, Cloud, and BossCars. This position will serve as the primary subject matter expert for the Student Financials module of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions system, focusing on customer service, issue resolution, configuration, system enhancement, testing, and process improvement. Additionally, the Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between the Office of Student Accounts and all internal and external groups, as they relate and interact with the student-oriented systems and data.  The Business Analyst - Student Financials performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications 

Required Education and Experience

Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree and at least one year of related professional experience; experience designing and implementing policies and procedures

Preferred Experience:  Experience working with a comprehensive database oriented financial system; Experience working with Peoplesoft Campus Solutions/Student Financials

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to serve as business analyst and subject matter expert for PAWS (PeopleSoft Campus Solutions) Student Financials and common modules
  • Ability to perform routine PAWS SF system maintenance including the re-evaluation, testing, implementation, and support of business processes, setup tables/semester setup, systems integration, configuration, queries, reporting, interfaces, item types, documentation, and modifications
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare analyses, summaries, and reports based on data, information, and records maintained, including both routine scheduled and ad-hoc reporting requests
  • Demonstrated ability to provide end-user support and training with exceptional customer service. Prepares high quality, detailed technical, functional, and procedural documentation
  • Ability to establish liaison and maintain cooperative working relationships with other staff or organizations
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position
