Vice President for Enrollment Management and Associate Provost

The University of Florida (UF), the flagship university for the state of Florida, ranked No. 6 among the nation's top public research universities by U.S News and World Report, is accepting inquiries, nominations and applications for the position of Vice President for Enrollment Management and Associate Provost.

Located in Gainesville since 1906, UF has 16 colleges, a major academic health center, a championship-winning athletic program, a top-ranked undergraduate online program and, in keeping with its land-grant mission, one of the nation’s most comprehensive agriculture and natural resources programs. All are based at the University’s 2,000-acre campus, joining its historic red-brick core with advanced facilities and preserved natural areas and connecting to adjacent innovation, commercial and residential districts.

UF has 55,000 students, 30,000 employees, 5,500 faculty members, a $5 billion annual budget and more than 140 mission-focused units across the state of Florida. It is the Sunshine State’s only member of the Association of American Universities comprising the nation’s 60 leading public and private research universities. More than 51,000 students applied as freshmen for the 2021-22 academic year — a new record.

Several qualities distinguish UF among today’s leading public research universities. The first is its highly comprehensive breadth on a single campus, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration among, for example, faculty within the adjacent colleges of journalism, engineering and medicine. The second is its unwavering support from the state of Florida, which has endorsed UF’s drive to become one of the nation’s very best public research universities — supporting those efforts since 2013 with hundreds of millions of dollars in additional funding to grow its faculty ranks by 500 members. UF’s third exceptional quality is its dynamism. Like Florida, now the nation’s third-largest state and among the fastest-growing, UF is undergoing rapid transformation as it pursues the overarching aspiration to be "a premier university that the state, nation and world look to for leadership.”

Within this context, UF seeks a Vice President for Enrollment Management and Associate Provost who will lead enrollment to its next level of excellence. Reporting to Provost Joseph Glover, the Vice President will provide leadership for the offices of Admissions, University Registrar, Student Financial Aid and Scholarships, UF Online Enrollment Services, Business Services and Communications in the goal to recruit, enroll and support extraordinarily talented and motivated students of increasing diversity. The Vice President will be expected to build on current strengths, enhance national and global visibility and deftly and collaboratively manage the many complex imperatives so that all of the University’s goals are reflected in each incoming class.

The successful candidate will be an innovative and strategic enrollment manager of national distinction. The new Vice President will possess the skill to lead enrollment in a complex environment, superior communication and listening skills, exceptional analytical capacity and technological sophistication, the ability to make connections across the University and an understating of holistic enrollment with attention to balancing multiple priorities and goals. A proven record in and a strong personal commitment to advancing diversity, equity, access and inclusion are imperative.

All applications, nominations and inquiries are invited. Applications should include, as two separate documents, a CV or resume and a letter of interest addressing the themes in the leadership profile, found at www.wittkieffer.com.
