Indiana State University’s Office of Information Technology has an immediate opening for a Unified Communications Engineer with in depth knowledge and experience supporting enterprise class Unified Communications systems such as Microsoft Skype for Business, contact centers, and SIP infrastructure. This exciting position works with a team of dedicated, customer focused professionals to provide reliable, high performing, and secure communication systems for the University. In addition to working with contemporary Unified Communications in a fast paced environment, this position offers a great benefits package including employer retirement contribution, dependent tuition assistance and access to the university health/recreation center.

The person in this position designs and develops advanced hardware and software environments in the ISU Unified Communication Services unit, provides project leadership and technical assistance in the implementation of complex information systems and daily maintenance of such systems.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an IT-related field from a four-year college or university. 5 or more years’ experience in medium/large organization serving in a direct support/oversight role for either Cisco Unified Communication or Microsoft Lync unified communication platform. 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in a role which reasonably translates to technologies used to implement and support a Unified Communication System. Such as Cisco telephony, Microsoft Lync, Avaya Arua, or similar platforms.
