Assistant or Associate Professor

Department/Position: Assistant or Associate Professor (tenure track) in the Department of Family Science and Social Work to teach graduate and undergraduate social work courses; advise students; develop a research and publications agenda; seek external grant funding, as appropriate; and be engaged in service at the departmental, College, University, and professional discipline levels. Appointments at the Associate level are also expected to already have an established publication record and research agenda, including evidence of external funding. Appointments at the Assistant level have an emerging publication record and the potential for external funding.

 

Required Qualifications: Master’s in social work and PhD in social work or a related field by date of appointment.

 

Consideration May be Given to Candidates With: A demonstrated commitment to diversity and social justice for oppressed and marginalized populations, as well as an awareness of intersectionality, positionality, and critical reflexivity in their work; a research and/or practice focus on trauma-informed or trauma-responsive care; and social work practice experience is valued.
