The Executive Director for Undergraduate Programs is a highly visible and high impact position that works with the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs and Students and college senior leadership to develop and implement the strategic direction of the undergraduate program. Responsible for the implementation, oversight, and alignment of student services including recruitment, admission, advising, orientation, leadership and engagement, degree certification, and academic support services for approximately 7,500 undergraduate business students. The scope of this position includes the implementation and administration of the undergraduate business curriculum on both the Columbus and Regional campuses. Serves as liaison between UG Programs Office, Office of Advancement, Office of Career Management, Office of Global Business, academic program directors, and others. Administers total financial resources of approximately $4.0 M, including program funds, personnel and operating funds, and annual external program support funds; oversees the awarding of $1.0 M in scholarship funding for undergraduate students. Supervises the recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of ~30+ staff members, including a management team within the department; provides mentorship and career development opportunities for direct and indirect reports; creates a positive, diverse, inclusive and safe work environment. Responsible for the implementation of the new General Education Curriculum, Workday, and other university processes and programs as needed. Functions as a college liaison and advocate to university units involved in undergraduate programs and participates on University committees.

 

Required Qualifications       

Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 10 years of experience in the higher education field; academic affairs; management and supervision experience; ability to work cooperatively and strategically across functions, levels and departments; strong written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to problem solve; excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse internal and external constituents; understanding of college student development.
